About Our Retreat Center

Since 1969, we have been serving the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as a retreat center, providing a God-filled space with a prayerful atmosphere through the beauty of nature and in the vicinity of the International Schoenstatt Shrine, a chapel dedicated to the Mother of God under the title of Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt. The beauty surrounding the retreat center makes it a restful place for many pilgrims.

Our Staff

The joyful dedication and vigorous commitment of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary to their mission of spiritual formation of the laity, families, youth, and others, fills the Retreat Center with the love of God.

Their presence, service, and prayers turn the retreat center into an extension of the shrine.

In this manner, the sisters continue to live up to their calling of “being Mary” for the world.

Our Service

In connection with the Schoenstatt Shrine, our Retreat Center is a spiritual home for the national and international Schoenstatt family.

Hand in hand with volunteers and the leaders of the Schoenstatt Movement, we offer Schoenstatt retreats to people from all walks of life.

We also serve as a retreat center for schools, parishes, and other organizations of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Our Mission

Father Joseph Kentenich (1885-1968), the founder of Schoenstatt, envisioned our Retreat Center on this land as an international center.

People from all over the world come here to receive formation, to increase their knowledge of Schoenstatt history and its spirituality, and to come into contact with the places blessed by the presence of the founder of Schoenstatt, Father Joseph Kentenich.
