Ann has been active in Schoenstatt for over 40 years. She started the Penny Power project after experiencing the poverty in the Dominican Republic and wanted to actively help. Ann’s home shrine is Safe Harbor (lighthouse) and this is the symbol she has on her grave stone in Calvary cemetery in an area where Father Kentenich liked to walk during his time in Milwaukee.(1952-1965). Ann made her dedication as part of the Mariengarten group (Schoenstatt Mothers League Milwaukee) in 2004. In the last days of her life, the prayer of her group was prayed in her hearing. The sheets on her bed were filled with little flowers and the Bleeding Heart picture (their groups symbol) hung above her bed as little signs of unity in the Mariengarten (Garden of Mary).
Thank you Ann for all your love and loyalty to your family, to Schoenstatt, to the Schoenstatt Mothers League, to your Mariengarten group, etc. May you find peace now at the end of your Sunset Journey.
