Happy Covenant Day!

18th Impulse - February 2023

Dear Schoenstatt Mothers and friends,
Many Covenant Day greetings as we unite either spiritually or physically in our Schoenstatt Shrine to renew the covenant of love with our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt, the great Living Monstrance. Here are some options for making this February 2023 Covenant Day special.
  • Original Shrine: Take time to make a virtual visit for two minutes to two hours in the Original Shrine (all day) via webcam.
  • Virtual Covenant Renewal - Waukesha: Attend the virtual covenant renewal (bilingual) at the International Shrine of the Father Kingdom in Waukesha at 7:30 CT.
  • Schoenstatt Way of Life Podcast: Listen to Julia Monnin's podcast for the Covenant Day!
Take a few minutes to consider the experiences of the past month and offer our MTA a precious gift of gratitude, of an offering of self-education, and of a petition. Our small and large contributions help in the renewal of the world that our Mother and Queen initiates from our network of Schoenstatt shrines. Submit your contributions at the provided link.

Lenten inspirations for you!

Ash Wednesday is just around the corner with Lent beginning on February 22. Here are some articles that might be helpful inspirations. As Schoenstatt Mothers we want to remember our SEED iniative: Spiritually Encourage Eucharistic Devotion! The first two articles can be of help in this.
  • Ash Wednesday article from the Eucharistic Revival resources.
  • What is the Eucharist? from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
  • Hail Mary initiative for Pope Francis 10th anniversary as Pope (March 13).
We ask our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and VIctress of Schoenstatt to intercede:
  • For all suffering from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
  • For all suffering from terminal illnesses.
  • For women expecting babies.
  • For a greater appreciation for life.
  • For those seeking employment.
  • For families in need of peace and healing.
  • For those suffering from depression and isolation.
  • For an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
  • In gratitude for all the blessings received through the covenant of love.
  • For our MTA helping intercede forgiveness of a family member after many years of discord.
  • For our MTA helping a family with an adult child suffering from addiction.
  • For our MTA helping give guidance to a family trying to find their way to genuine faith.
  • For the gift of our MTA's gentle presence in her visits through the Pilgrim MTA.

Inspirations from Schoenstatt

  • Venerable Sr. M. Emilie celebrated on February 8 - her birthday. Read the article about how one of Schoenstatt's venerable heroes mastered life with God and offered her life for people trust in God's loving providence.
  • Reliving Father Kentenich's self-giving in Dachau: Read about how thirty people visited Dachau to find inspiration from Father Kentenich's life for living in our present challenging times.
  • Network of Shrines: Watch a 38 minute video on the network of Schoenstatt shrines that includes the Original Shrine, daughter shrines, home shrines, and heart shrines.
Especially during Lent, may we remember one of the requests of the covenant: Prove first by your deeds that you really love me! Then she will bless us with gifts and graces in abundance! Living Monstrance - lift up your heart!

In Gratitude,
Sr. M. Deanne
