Happy Covenant Day!

18th Impulse - March 2022

Dear Schoenstatt Mothers and friends,
Many Covenant Day greetings as we unite either spiritually or physically in our Schoenstatt Shrine to renew the covenant of love with our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt, the great Living Monstrance.
On all of our hearts lies the crisis in the Ukraine. The image of our Mother Thrice Admirable above shows the crown given to her on April 15, 2020 as Queen of Spiritual and Physical Health during the pandemic. On this Covenant Day, let us take a few moments to offer our Mother and Queen the crown anew - in the intention of world peace. Maybe you can do this during a virtual visit to the Original Shrine, or as you make an in-person or virtual visit to one of the daughter shrines, or when you renew the covenant of love in your home and heart shrines.
2022 Mar Light for the Night header
The Schoenstatt Movement for Women and Mothers in Germany invites you to join their unique prayer initiative for the mothers and children of the Ukraine and Russia - Light for the Night. Between 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm light a candle and pray that the children affected by the war can sleep peacefully through the night. For more information read the article titled: Light in the Night. Read the other articles about what Schoenstatt in Poland and Germany are doing to help refugees.

Donation information: Soon you will be able to make a donation via the Schoenstatt International website: schoenstatt.com. The wire transfers on the digital articles from Poland are expensive so a fund is being created through Schoenstatt.com for those who wish to donate. The funds will be used to help the Ukraine refugees in Poland.

Pope Francis to Consecrate the Ukraine and Russia

On Friday, March 25, Pope Francis will consecrate the Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Let us join in the preparation and from our home shrines ask our Mother and Queen to help bring peace.

Join Pope Francis in prayer at 11 am Central Time.
Below is part of the prayer in Time of Need that Father Kentenich, Schoenstatt's founder prayed during the difficult time of the Second World War. The full prayer is found in the Heavenwards prayer book on pages 132-134.

March inspirations for you!

March is the month rich with celebrations which include the solemnity of St. Joseph (March 19) and the Solemnity of the Annunciation of Mary (March 25). It is also the season of Lent as we continue to prepare for Holy Week and the celebration of Easter. Here are a few inspirations that you might find helpful for this special time. The inspirations include digital articles on:
  • How Schoenstatt's founder, Father Joseph Kentenich, valued the contribution of women in society.
  • University Women's trip to the Dominican Republic,
  • Father Kentenich's witness to living with hope as a prisoner during the Second World War and his trust in Mary during challenging times.
Watch two inspirational videos from Father Carlos Jose Rojas from Schoenstatt-Tampa, Florida, about St. Joseph on topics of synodality, Discernment, and Prayer.

Prayer Before the Blessed Sacrament

Prayer composed by Diane Wycklendt for the Adoration time for the Women’s Night Out, March 14, 2022, Waukesha, Wisconsin
ExileShrine_Adoration 02
My Lord, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we adore you.
We bring ourselves to you.
We bring all our joys and sorrows, all of our fears and anxieties, all hopes and dreams to share with you.
Thank you for blessing the whole world while we are here in adoration.
We pray for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine.
We pray for all those who do not know God, and all of those who have no one to pray for them.
We bring the souls in purgatory here and each of the needs of our families, known and unknown.
We ask for graces, blessings, healings, and conversions of our family members.
Jesus you are the true healer, Jesus be our medicine.
We ask our guardian angels, our Mother Thrice Admirable Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt, and St. Joseph to help us in our prayer.
Let us continue to unite in striving to be Christ bearers and Christ bringers as Living Monstrance during this Lenten season. We ask our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt to intercede for world peace. Let us generously offer our prayer and sacrifices into her capital of grace for this intention.

In Gratitude,
Sr. M. Deanne
